If you don’t know exactly where you want to travel, use these questions to help you decide:

• What time of the year do you want to travel?

• What is your ideal temperature? 

• What is your ideal travel wardrobe?  I.e. cute dresses or hoodies?

• What’s your vibe? I.e. beach, city, historical, adventure, a little bit of everything?

• Do you want the local people to speak English or something else?

• Do you want there to be amazing animals for you to interact with? I.e. Africa or Asia?

 

Ways to save:

• Create a specific savings account for your travel and only use it for travel.

• Start transferring a percentage of the money you earn into this account.

• Pick up a side job and dedicate 100% of that money to your travel fund.

• If you have a graduation coming up or are gifted any cash over the coming months, put it towards you trip savings.

• Let your older relatives (and especially any aunties who travel!) know what you are saving for – they may want to contribute to your cause.

• Let your friends know what you are saving for – they might want to be your travel buddy and want to start saving too! #GirlGoals

• When you are invited to an expensive event (i.e. front row tickets, girls night out, bougie brunches, a long weekend in the Caribbean…for the third time) remember that these event are undermining your big travel goal.  So decide if these small events are worth postponing your big trip.
